Denzel Washington was born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 28, 1954. His full name is Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. He is the middle of three children born to Lennis Washington, a Georgia beautician, and Denzel Washington, Sr., a Virginia Pentecostal pastor.
